Timir Patel, RPh
Chief Executive Officer
Timir is the principle owner and CEO of Aquabiliti. His background offers a unique perspective on healthcare and products that improve patient care. He began his healthcare career as a clinical pharmacist at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. In 1992, he founded HCR of America, providing medical staffing services to hospitals, HMO's, clinics, home infusion companies and other healthcare service providers. In 1996, he founded Millenia Healthcare, providing advanced infusion services to patients in their home. Timir is committed to using the Aquabiliti platform to bring innovative products to the medical device and pharmaceutical market. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.
Executive Vice President
Phil Kelsey brings 35 years of experience in the medical/surgical business to Aquabiliti. Prior to joining the company, he was Executive Vice President, General Manager of Amsino International, and President of Global Sales. Earlier in his career, he founded Med eCom. He has also held leadership positions at Owens& Minor and Kendall. Phil has extensive experience sourcing from China, and has served on the board of Mira MedSource, a sourcing company based in Shanghai.
Director of Operations
Dipen is responsible for all aspects of production, logistics, and plant management for Aquabiliti. He began his career with Accenture in 2002 as an Analyst of Broadband Engineering projects throughout the US. In 2005, he advanced into a role of engineering development for a Regional Multiservice Operator tasked with expanding coverage and new services with broadband infrastructure. In 2009, he was chosen to be the Regional Director for a large electrical contractor in East Africa overseeing several international infrastructure projects. In 2010, he moved into a business role to enhance PET bottling manufacturing in Uganda. Dipen is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a BS degree in Information Systems.
Board of Advisors
Bill Barkalow joined Aileron in the fall of 2008 as a Business Advisor. Bill’s 30 years as a Chief Executive prepared him for the opportunity to guide clients through the strategic planning process, their organizational development as well as other operational areas of leading a company. Bill has helped to create effective boards for over 75 companies.
After 10 years in leadership positions of large corporations Bill left the corporate life to lead and run smaller privately held companies. In 1987, he joined the Irwin Company, a $30 million family-held power accessory tool manufacturer, growing the company to over 5 times its size with over 1300 people and 9 plants around the world. After the successful sale of Irwin in the 1990s, Bill joined Code Hennessey & Simmons, a leading Private Equity Firm in Chicago. There, he was Chairman/President/CEO of two portfolio companies that he turned around and sold for higher multiples than industry standards. Bill went on to found Stonehouse Building Products LLC, a manufacturer of nationally distributed countertops that was ultimately sold to an equity firm.
Over his career Bill has served on many Boards for public and private companies. In 1991 he was selected as a member of Who’s Who in US Executives and was twice nominated as Entrepreneur of the Year. Bill graduated with a BS degree from the University of Findlay.
Lainie Dean, MHA, is a veteran of large scale project management and has extensive knowledge of marketing, strategy formulation, and business development from both a hospital system and large medical group perspective. She has managed and executed projects for growth initiatives including service redesign, branding and messaging formulation, marketing assessments, new product/service launches, and market research. She advocates for her projects with a matter-of-fact leadership style that wins confidence from her team and earns respect from her colleagues and clients. Lainie has a strong operational mind, balanced with strategic thinking. Her understanding of the relationship between marketing, operations and profit is refined and proven effective. She has a reputation for asking many questions to gain a solid understanding of the client’s situation and perspective. She brings strength in her ability to absorb as much information as possible in order to yield a solid strategy for the client. Lainie completed her MHA at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
